Preventing water damage leaks in your kitchen:
The kitchen is sadly, an excellent place for water damage to happen. There is an immense amount of water that travels through your kitchen every day and with all the pipes, hoses, faucets and other means for water to get in there it's very likely that some point you will have to deal with water damage in your kitchen. Often this quarter damage can be prevented by constant maintenance on your appliances but sometimes it is unexpected. One thing you can always do to help prevent future water damage was to make sure that your appliances have the proper sort of hoses connecting to them.
Plastic and rubber hoses will eventually break down and fall part potentially causing major water damage especially if you're not at home to switch off water at the main. This can be prevented by changing out all of the rubber and plastic hoses with reinforced steel hoses. These steel hoses are much more sturdy by their very nature and rated to last many, many more years than standard rubber and plastic hoses.
Another potential source of water damage in your kitchen is the hose that connects to your refrigerants are to provide it with water. This hose is usually copper and so therefore is quite sturdy and will last for quite some time that it is susceptible to crimping. If you move your refrigerator around a lot or if you do not hold up the hose when you push refrigerator back into the wall the hose can get trapped beneath the refrigerator and start to crimp. The water pressure will eventually build up to the point where the pipe will burst and your kitchen will be flooded. This can be easily prevented by holding up the pipe when you push the refrigerator back into the wall and making sure that nothing is running over it.
